Re: Hello folks!

We do need to try and get some of the old crew together and do something. Count me in! I'd set up an NA UT2004 server again, given a week's notice and a reasonable chance that it's be used now and then. Say, for a Thursday evening or two. What GW2 server, er, shard, er, WORLD are you on? I'm not he...

Re: Hello folks!

Hi GWIA! Whoa, long time no see. Glad you're still kickin'! Personally, I'm doing great. Finally getting around to shedding off some excess weight. My boy is owning the world of US junior long track speedskating. I'm getting to do some new stuff at work. Kril is still around the forums, and the Face...

Re: GW2: The Lost Shores

I blame Epic. We lost our center of gravity when UT3 bombed, and too many people lost interest in UT2k4. Not necessarily in that order, but you get my drift. "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold." Please note that I am only speaking for the NA side of FnG. You folks in the Eurozone h...

Re: GW2: The Lost Shores

Well, TBH, it's not literally true. It's close to true on our side of the pond, alas. Lost in nostalgia, I read through some of the last pages of the old ONS Night thread. May of 2010 was really the last hurrah. Too many of us have left, and are just never coming back. We lost critical mass. That is...

Re: GW2: The Lost Shores

Hmm. It's just a game. I was lucky enough to meet Sundae in person this summer. He's a really nice guy, not a monster at all. Anyhoo. Too bad GW2 isn't tickling people's fancy parts. Personally, I'd like to jump in a time mo-sheen and go back to any North American Thursday evening between mid-2004 a...

Re: Dungeons

AC is the only dungeon I've done so far, and that only in story mode. However, the PUG pulled one of the two into the hallway and shut the door. Much easier to tackle one at a time.

Re: Maguuma for NA

I got the invitation! Joined, even.

Witt and Kril are invited to FDG as well. Lemme know if anyone else is planning to play in NA prime time and would like to have access to FDG. No risk - I will invite anyone.

Re: Vabbi for EURO

While race does matter for PvE, it does not matter for structured PvP. So, everyone is correct!

I posted in another thread, but just to repeat myself: please invite "Troog" to the FnG guild please. 8)

(Though I expect to do most of my playing in Maguuma, a NA server.)

Re: Maguuma for NA

I can send invitations to FDG, but I'm not a member of the FnG guild yet. So, to that end, could someone invite "Troog" please? I believe server transfers are free, at least for now. You can only have one home server at a time, though. You can be a member of any number of guilds, but can o...

Anet has said that they will start to bring up servers up to 3 hours before the official launch. That's an insane time for Europe, but makes things a bit easier for us. :D

Well, in a sense, it's insanity all around. Thousands of F5 keys being mashed for 3 hours straight.

Maguuma for NA

Dredd (the artist formerly known as Seraph) put out word that the FDGies will be setting up shop on the Maguuma server. Anet has announced that there will be free server transfers for an undetermined period of time after launch, and guesting will be free thereafter. It looks like there'll be lots of...

Re: GW2 Final Beta Weekend + Launch Date!

Actually it seems the NA players have gone with Sorrow's Furnace for this weekend. Sorrow's Furnace it is! Our old pal Seraph, now known as [FDG] Dredd, should be contacted for a FDG invitation. However, one of the nice things about the GW2 guild system is that you can join multiple guilds, and I'm...
