Right came across this article, not sure what I think about this it can only do bad things for gaming if it gets more prolific.

Personally I think if you have spent time 'earning' the money in game you should be able to sell it.
SAying that I think the whole things a bit of a joke, as I think people stupid enough to buy
items/money for real money are missing the whole point of a GAME which is to play it.

Obviously gold farmers do upset the economy/spoil other peoples play but if the games
companies/publishers are worried then they ought to sell in game money direct
and cut out the middle 'gold' farmers. They would probably have to think carefully
about other forms of gold sink inside the games as well to help try and stop inflation.
