New patch for Battlefield 2

Postby [FnG] Kahbouter on Wed Sep 02, 2009 3:15 pm

Atteeeeeeeention!

There's a new (and probably final) patch available for Battlefield 2, and it's number is 1.5.
I don't know if you're still playing this game (I hadn't in almost two years :P), but maybe this could sparkle your interest once more. It's just a minor patch for EA, it's just under 2 GB. Yes... Two Giga Bytes! But that's just because it contains both Boosterpacks (Euro Force and Armoured Fury), the Highway Tampa map and another new map: Operation Blue Pearl (and of course all the previous fixes and patches). So if you haven't spent any money on those booster packs in the past (like I did for Euro force), this is your chance to get them all for free. (FREE?! - ed.)
They also changed something to improve Vista compatibility and added support for wide screen resolutions. (Yes, this game predates both Vista and the Full HD craze, this game is so 2005... :P)

This link contains a link to the complete list of changes and also an extensive list of places to download the patch. See you on the Battlefield! :sniper2: :hunter:

Thanks for the tip, I always did enjoy this game but like you haven't played in two years or more.

This patch renewed my interest for BF2. The sweetest thing is that you get both the booster packs for free included in the pack, along with a new map called "Operation Blue pearl".

Could never get into BF2 properly. I always thought I was having fun until I encountered a game where I was continually bombed at my spawn point by some ace pilot. A real monitor-through-the-window-rage-quit-and-immediate-uninstall scenario if ever there was one...

Yeah it blows my mind to thin kthat the devs havent discovered how super imbalanced the jets are. A quick fix to balance things out would be that the jets would have to actually LAND on the airstrip to get resupplied and repaired.
